i haven’t been a big fan of putting on fragrances for bed but now i am because like… i love dabbing some perfume on my suprasternal notch (space in between collar bones) and usually because i use oils it’s a more intimate scent bubble and uhh :) cuddling with nikto and his head is pressed right against your chest, nose nuzzled right near your sternum; super close to your collar bones where your perfume is.

of course he has his favorites out of your collection, ones that remind him of a home long gone— one that only exists in his dreams. of a time in his childhood where there would be a steaming pot of russian caravan on the table, of toasted silk road spices and worn leathers and suedes, of a roaring hearth in the heart of a home. (you’re already his home but whenever you wear that one, you become even more comforting than usual.)

but as usual, he’s also partial to ones that you like as well. that floral one… he doesn’t know how to describe it. but to him, it’s walking hand in hand with you while snow gently drifts to the earth, lying together under the wisteria blossoms (you had to tell him what flower was in here, otherwise he’d never know.)

or that one, with creamy rose and marshallowed jasmine—it reminds him of when he was young again. just a mere boy, trying to sneak a bite of dessert before being caught red-handed by his mother. reminds him of the vase of fresh roses that always adorned their living room. of christmas celebrations.

and another one that you got recently, of delicate and sheer peach skins and spring blooms that make you seem spring incarnate. reminds him of rolling green fields and of his desire to hand feed you peach slices until you smile.

he always looks forward to bed time with you. not that he didn’t before, but drifting off in your arms with the scent he helped you pick out is nothing short of a dream for him.

Since I’ve been talking about Grian and Joel being away from each other and Joel talking to Grian’s feathers bc he misses him, I wanted to add a bit more to that, this time not as angsty as the other posts :’)

Joel’s tired, he hasn’t properly slept in a while and he’s just rambling about whatever while being half asleep. Grian’s listening to him attentively from far away. Maybe it’s one of those worse nights, where more feelings come up or one of those nights where Joel’s more authentic and instinctive side takes over, Grian isn’t sure

He just suddenly feels fantom hands caressing his face and lips on his. He isn’t sure if he’s imagining it in his own sleep-deprived state or if Joel’s caressing and kissing his feather

And afterwards there’s silence, Joel has most likely fallen asleep and Grian hasn’t felt that awake in a while, staring up at the ceiling with wide eyes. The fantom hands don’t leave his skin until the morning and they both burn and comfort him in a way that hurts so bad, but leaves him wanting more

(because comments were not available...) First of all thanks for this one OP, I loved it! (A strange thing happened... I wanted to link to the original post and couldn't because "Fantom blog" 😳😱😶)

*roll sleeve* bitching time (it's going to be a long one, brace yourself)

This is one of the aspect of the book that I NEVER understood or accepted. And bits of it had confused me. You are absolutely welcome to answer, add details, not agree and explain, argue. But with respect and kindly, please, that's all I am asking. (putting behind a cut)

Let's begin with Arwen:

For what I understood she choose the fate reserved to human. Which, to me, even after reading Luthien and Beren, means she is mortal. So... she is not stuck to roam endlessly in an abandonned Lorien. She will die of old age.

If this is the case: Why don't you stay with your children and grandchildren? Taking care of them, being like all grandparents and taking a bit of the weight of the kids while they do and have "gondorian" fun or spend some time in Rohan with their cousins or in The Shire? Why don't you go and visit all those people? Why don't you discover this world?

If this is not the case and Arwen is just stuck, an immortal elf in the mortal world: Why Lorien if everyone has left? Why not go with Thranduil (@sotwk : how long did he stay? I'm sorry I don't remember). Why not Ithilien? The Shire? One again, if you're immortal go and visit! and why not stay a bit and enjoy those kids and grandkids? I can udnerstand it might get weird being immortal and seeing your kids and grandkids becoming older but... You could at least have stayed a bit. Or become an archivist?A librarian? Go to Dol Amroth?

I mean, there are sooooooo many possibilities for this lady to finish/not finish her life rather than roaming endlessy in an empty Lorien, like WTF?

Aragorn:

First, yes, I love Aragorn (like really). But... Why did he do this? Oh yeah. Don't want to stay and be overbearing over your kid, uh? Ah yeah, because you don't want to become an old man, shaked by old age, and everyone seeing you becoming frail? Sorry but isn't that your (sorry for the word) F*****ng ego speaking?

I mean, it's the fate of all men to age and die. But you, you have this choice and then, you abandon everyone, including your wife, just because you don't want to show what old age could do to you?

Okay, Arwen knew what she had signed for... Although she said it, she understood at this moment what was the real meaning.

But one : Aragorn, why didn't you discuss this with your lady wife? Like "hey sweetheart? how do you feel if I would stay a few years more? Maybe I'm going to become frail and a bit shaky and maybe forgot people but... What d'ya think? Getting old together?" She could have decided herself, it would have been her choice. Not the first time she would make a hard choice (just so you remember).

Two: speak to your kids "Hey, by the way, mind if I stay a while?" Maybe they would have say no, or yes. But even if it has been a no... There a whole world to explore with your lady! Why not go to the Shire and have a few last years with them? Or Rohan and end under a barrow like the Rohan kings (hey, wouldn't be something rather than asking if they want Theoden to stay in Gondor ? - This one's for you @from-the-coffee-shop-in-edoras)?

Rambling's almost finished. Essentially, there could have been a different ending for those two, if Aragorn has discussed it and not choose all alone what was best for everyone. And if Arwen had realized she was free to do whatever she wanted. I suppose I felt a bit insulted that, because Aragorn was dead, her own life must end. And maybe her love for him was that strong, maybe she was just so heartbroken that she couldn't stand being without him. But then, why didn't Aragorn stayed?

So, here it is, my rambling/ranting for Saturday morning. Once again, feel free to argue, discuss, exchange, bring more info, etc...

12. Crack headcanon (Maia)

Boy's tall. Idk if that's canon or not, or how much of a crack headcanon it is, but like. His grandfather apparently towered over everyone, and I think it would be funny if Maia also becomes incredibly tall and no one really notices. He's still very quiet and polite and shy, so he just kind of looks like an awkward and adorable beanpole and no one thinks much of it. And then one day he goes full Edrahasivar VII and just dominates the entire room. Suddenly everyone is very aware that their Emperor is at Hozier-levels of tallness, and can very easily look down on damn near anyone he pleases. (After Maia is done putting the fear of the gods into whomever irritated him, he looks around and everyone is staring at him wide-eyed, suddenly remembering that this is the Emperor and not just some stand-in, and Maia has no idea how to react except to very politely ask Csevet to fetch everyone some calming tea)

31. If the had a tumblr what would it look like? (Felix Harrowgate)

Oh god. At first, before the events of the series, it's a collection of holier-than-thou vagueposts and long essays about obscure magical texts, and some length arguments about how wrong some of those texts are. Occasional vanity selfies, the kind where he pretends it wasn't a selfie and was just a casual picture someone happened to take of his best angle, while he was wearing his best jacket and had his hair just so.

Then shit goes down for him, and while he doesn't use tumblr much during his bout of madness, the few times he does it's to post borderline incomprehensible ramblings about the animal heads around him and what that means and the fantome in the tower and other such things, that those who followed him are all like. "Uh. you good, bro?" (he doesn't answer and disappears for another three months before his next post about the ghosts in the maze).

After the Troia adventure, there's a lot of the same kind of long-winded magical essays and arguments, but now they've shifted from being obscure topics to being slightly taboo topics. Lots of aesthetic pictures where he wonders if anyone else can see the ghosts or the noirance, and people start to think he's trolling.

In exile, again, long bout of ghosting. When he starts posting again, it consists of a lot of aesthetic pics of foxes and the Corambis countryside. There's yet more magical essays (he cannot shut up for the life of him) but they're not nearly as aggressive now, and seem more like someone wanting to share cool information rather than prove how much better and smarter he is than everyone else.

He's blocked anything to do with rubies.

Sorry. Anyways. Early morning, bit of time to himself to enjoy his coffee while he makes plans for the day. Bit of work to keep the mind occupied, interspersed with some cooking or gardening (or both, getting veggies from the garden to cook with). Someone decides to fuck around with his Principal in the afternoon, so he has a chance to be threatening and punch someone and generally engage in his dramatic side, but nothing that involves actual physical harm to his charge or himself. Then some meditation to calm down, and a chance to read his book before bed.

BLOCKBENCH COMMS OPEN

I've been making blockbench models for a while now, and I've decided to open my comms for them here! I can make wearable items, tools and weapons, and just fun lore related items you might want in your minecraft world!!!!

just rambling I’m bored

Sometimes I wonder if Doll lived in modern times if she’d like end up opting to always go to an all you can eat buffet, whenever she’d go out to eat. She can eat a lot as shown in that one manga panel, and I just feel like she’d love the ability to eat as much as she wants for the one price of the buffet. Like I know in the anime adaption her plate of food wasn’t stacked too high (at least in comparison) but in the manga in the other hand it’s stacked.

I also think she’d probably love those food challenges where if you eat X amount of food in Y amount of time you get the meal for free (although sometimes you just get a shirt or something it really depends on restaurant to restaurant) Like we don’t know the exact amount of time it actually took her to eat that whole plate of food she grabbed, but based off Ciel’s remark “what already?”, after she said she’s done and ready to head to practice. It’s safe to say she ate it rather fast. So I feel like food challenges would be up her ally.

I still find it sweet though that she’s always willing to share her sweets and food with others, since I feel like that’s her way of showing others she really cares about them. She did it for both Snake and Ciel.At least I assume Doll gave Snake the candy, I mean Doll is the only one who mentioned the Fantom sweets even stating “these are hands down my favorite sweets”. So I really do feel like that’s one of her own ways of showing, hey I care about you and wanna be your friend.

I just love it though when we get characters who aren’t afraid to be themselves and are happy being themselves. Doll is just happy being herself and isn’t afraid to be herself either. She’s such a positive ball of energy and I love it.

Hold on, why did I never picture pre-serum Steve with a cane? (Obviously ableism) He doesn't use it often, just some days wherein he's very tired and doesn't want to deal with more shit than necessary.

(Or maybe because he's like me, I love cosplaying characters with a cane because it means I get to have a cane for the day and that's amazing but then I grit my teeth and never bring it to work despite really needing it some days. Like I'm trying to look special or whatever. Obviously that's ableism again and with Steve's pride, that works too, especially when he's trying to enroll into the army, he has to 'show off' --well, how little he has, at least. Okay brb gonna edit my pre-war fic with that.)

I don't believe his heart has still weaknesses because he's supposed to have the perfect version of the serum, probably with no DNA deterioration during mitosis. But I'm thinking psychosomatism and to what extent.

Like, his body is virtually perfect, can't find a flaw in it. But some days or depending on the events, Steve "makes himself" ill. In a fantom limb kind of way I guess? Or like me last time I did my injection: it's something I have to do once a month and I'm pretty used to it now but last time I had a new needle and it looked too long and taking too much time so I basically nearly fainted/threw up despite the fact there was absolutely nothing wrong with how I was actually doing the injection.

Dunno man, just rambling at that point.

Me when all my bones hurt and I’ve been dizzy all evening so I project and make silly headcanons.

Steve Rogers with POTS, both pre and post serum because you can pry disabled Steve from my cold dead hands.

Pre-Serum

- Steve was a fainter and Bucky doesn’t even react to it anymore other than a “you good?”

- He developed it after his bout with scarlet and rheumatic fever, though he didn’t notice it much in his youth because of his already existing heart issues and chalked it up to just his general feeling bad

- Near constant headaches and coat hanger pain

- His HR would increase 50-60 almost every time he stood and it was a pain in the ass when he worked

- Used a cane for stability (and pain relief) because a bitch was dizzy, and it helped keep his HR down some

- Cannot regulate temperature for his life

- Has definitely had such bad blood pooling that he pulls Bucky over and draws a heart into his palm that stays there for a hot second and Bucky gives him the most “what the fuck” look he possibly can

- Having such poor nutrition and living in such a stressful time has not helped any of this

After the serum, Steve’s POTS went into remission. However, the severe stress of coming out of the ice and everything brought him out of it. Here’s how it presents now.

- Doesn’t faint anymore but he hates pre-syncope more

- Has a whole compression suit he basically wears under his Captain America uniform, it’s awesome

- Didn’t even realize his heartrate still goes up so much (generally around 30-35 now) because it used to go so high

- Was diagnosed because a doctor did a full work up and asked him a bunch of questions about how he used to be compared to now and ended up having a bunch of testing including wearing a monitor, then subjected him to a tilt table test

- Still deals with a lot of headaches and coat hanger pain

- Our boy gets medication now! And proper nutrition! And he can work out and help his heart be strong and regulate his nervous system so he’s in much better health

- Should definitely still use a mobility aid at least on the bad days because he wall walks a lot but doesn’t even notice it

- Gets really crippling vertigo where he’s bed bound for a day or two

There’s more that I think about and a bunch of comorbidities I want to talk about but my eyes feel like they’re being stabbed so that’s all for now, folks.

(Also I have POTS so this isn’t all out of my ass)
